jakarta theme problems in ie

    hello! can someone pls. help me fix our blog at http://asianfarmers.org

    its based on the jakarta theme and i’ve modified it a bit. it looks very ok and renders fast in firefox but in internet explorer it renders slow and the sidebar goes way down the bottom.

    i’ve spent days already trying to fix this to no avail. i hope somebody can help me fix it.

    First try to validate your site – after that might be easier to find what makes the sidebar to go down. On a general note: usually it is caused by an item too wide either in the content area (e.g. a long link as you have at the end of one of the posts) or in the sidebar.

    thanks for the quick tip! i’ve tried validating it but it gets me confused even more.

    yup! its up. its driving me crazy. the original jakarta in alexking works ok in IE so am thinking maybe i deleted something so that it goes weird in IE

    also please ignore the top right buttons as they dont work now. validator instructed me to change the code to small letters so now it doesnt work

    I’ve got the same trouble on a friend’s site I’m managing at http://www.gerard-david.com and had as you mention to reduce both linksize in sidebar AND imagewidth in posts.

    Hi. I had this problem too, so i decided to fix it.
