How do you create a normal website using WP??

    I mean one that doesn’t resemble a blog? like this: http://backlinkingelite.com/ , he said he used typepad. I’ve been reading and playing with wp for days and can’t figure it out at all even with guides. All I want is to create a simple page like that (static) and the thank you page and thats it. I saw a link that had normal sites created using wordpress but now I can’t find it. Like I don’t want sidebars, or comments etc.

    Really appreciate the help

    Any way to add a border to fill in that white outside of the text and header? Also how do you remove the comment section at the bottom? thank you

    You can edit the theme’s stylesheet to add a border or change the body background color (as opposed to the content background color). If you need specific help with this theme, you;d be better off posting on http://quirm.net/forum/forum.php?id=15

    There are also other 1-column themes available in the Theme Directory. Try using the tag filter to find then. ZenLite simply sprang to mind for obvious reasons. 🙂

    how do you remove the comment section at the bottom?

    If you stick to using Pages and use the Page Without Comments template each time, you won’t have any reference to comments on your site.

    yeh just kinda fig’d out the border, thats cool that you can change the color and it doesn’t affect the text/column. Thanks for the tip on looking for single columns, i just want to get a nice simple site up quickly for the biz, then play around and learn more on wordpress and maybe design one fancier.
