For the global navigation, I want to have two lines for each li: the first is the actual link, the second under it is a descriptor.

Is there a way to set this up using dynamic menus, or will I have to give in and hard-code this?

If you’re using categories, you could use the category description field for the second line. But if the menu is page based, the only option I can think of is to use custom fields.

Yes, these are pages, not categories. Had not thought of custom fields, because I thought that would only be on that page. Custom fields can be used outside the page or post?

I think that would still leave me hand-coding the menu, right? Even with custom fields, I could’t integrate it with the menu functions in admin….
