   Whenever someone I know installs wordpress, he keeps seeing these core.xxxx files and gets an internal server error. He has 3 domains on one hosting account and as soon as he installs wordpress on any of them, the files appear such as:

   core.7732 2444 k 0600
   core.8118 2448 k 0600
   core.8144 2440 k 0600
   core.8170 2448 k 0600
   core.8194 2440 k 0600

   He isn't uploading those files. Anyone know what is going on? Has he been exploited?

   Those look like "core dumps" - the server is crashing, basically.

   Your friend needs to contact his host for an answer to this one.
