What restrict group wp-admin options do you have set now?

just deactivated your plugin and tried creating a group. looks like this: http://screencast.com/t/uYIUE0r5WAu
still nothing about forums? but they are activated and working?
did I make a mistake when installing BuddyPress?
The “Enable discussion forum” checkbox is under step 2 for group creation process
The Restrict Group Creation plugin will remove certain components within step 2.
So under wp-admin -> buddypress -> restrict group page:
Restrict Group Creation
– Roles and Capabilities
Create group capability – “some wp_cap/role you define”
Create group forum capability – “some wp_cap/role you define”
Create private group capability – “some wp_cap/role you define”
Create hidden group capability – “some wp_cap/role you define”
So if you leave Create group forum capability blank, then “Enable discussion forum” checkbox is removed from step 2 of the group creation process. Same with private and hidden options.
Otherwise you may enter the same wp_role/cap for all or select a higher wp_cap/role for those. (ie, i have subscriber (member) for creating a group and edit_posts (author) for all others)
This plugin is coded to allow the super(site)_admin to bypass all options.

ok, it seems some other plugin was interfering. I have disabled a few plugins and now I see the: create forum checkbox!
The rest, I guess is working as desired 🙂
There was no doubt about how to use your plugin its just that even without your plugin I couldn’t find the forum checkbox…

which plugin was it? maybe something i can check and work around.
(though i updated the plugin today – nothing related to this matter)

I don’t know which one. I am new to BP so I am currently testing a lot of plugins to see how they work together and which ones are exclusive, which ones offer similar/same functionality.
If I ever notice which one is the problematic one I’ll make sure to let you know.
