Create a custom form

I’m creating a template for a client who offers accommodation for ski trips. The rooms are setup us custom post types.

I want to create a custom form which allows visitors to filter the rooms by:

• Price range (min price & max price), from 2 drop down menus
• Number of beds, from a drop down menu
• Location, from a drop down menu

I’m not sure how to achieve this. Can anybody point me in the right direction for a tutorial, or suggest the best way to approach this.
