[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Shortcode for display order

    Is there a way to specify the sort order of images in a gallery using shortcode?

    There is the options panel which lets you set the sort order on a global basis, but it doesn’t seem to be possible to change if for individual galleries.

    You need to use custom fields ngg_gal_Sort and ngg_gal_SortDirection.

    How do you use these custom fields? Do you just insert the statements in the shortcode for the post? It’s not working for me.

    I have most galleries set to order by file name, but I’m trying to get another to order by image id, so I tried this for the shortcode on the post:

    [nggallery id=9 ngg_gal_Sort=pid ngg_gal_SortDirection=DESC]

    … but it doesn’t work.

    Also, if there’s no way to do this with a shortcode, is there a way to get a gallery to re-sort? I don’t see one. I’ve tried renaming the images so that they would sort as I want, but they’re still displaying in the same order.

    Please help. Thank you.
