   I exported my database today, telling myphpadmin that I wanted it exported as a csv file for Excel 2003/Mac.

   It exported it just fine, and I have the file on my desktop. However, when I opened the file in Excel, and expanded it to fill each cell, I noticed that some of the posts that came out in the export are not mine - and in fact belong to someone on the other side of the country.

   I do not know this person, and it wasn't until I did a little research that I discovered who it was, (I don't want to mention the other person's name here in the forum) and I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem before.

   And is there some whay in the myphpadmin to read the contents of the tables before exporting?

   Was it from the wp_options table ?
   If so, it's a cached feed from the dashboard.

   That must be it.

   Is there some way to get rid of those? Not that I don't want to know what's going on, but I have a very limited database size wise and don't want to waste space with cached items.

   Not unless you head into the db with phpmyadmin.
   In your situation and if you can live without the dash, you need to remove the dash, then clear all the rss from wp_options.

   Make your /wp-admin/index.php to be like this:
   <?php
require_once('admin.php');
$title = __('Dashboard');
require_once('admin-header.php');
$today = current_time('mysql', 1);
?>
<?php
require('./admin-footer.php');
?>

   and then use phpmyadmin to do the other half.

   What anti-spam measures do you have ?

   at the moment, I don't think I have any. I just got this up and runnig on Friday, and am still very new at this!
