Rookie site setup

Hey all.

Im sure this question has been asked before, and I’m sure the answer is out there too, but I haven’t been able to find it, so bare with me.

Here goes: I want my blog to show the latest post made on different pages I have made for different categories. also I would like the comment link under the posts to link to the comments on the page where the post is made.

Is there a way I can set this up, so all I have to do is open a specifc page and make my post. That post will then show up on the main page, and the comments under that post will link back to the original post on the page?
