Syntax for Add a New Site is inconsistent with display

I’m transferring lots of our sites from their old standalone installs, onto our nice new blog server.

Which means I’m using the “New Site” dialogue a lot.

The list of sites (we’re using subdirectories) show them as you would expect, ending with a “/”,
So:

/snapshot/ …..

However if you type the name into the domain bow with a final slash (so making it “in the same style as the ones you can see above”), you get an error.

Suggested: make the software check for a terminal / and remove it before the rest of the software suffers.

This will make admins life much simpler. Especially if^H^Hwhen admin has a hangover.
