Problem with syntax highlight when typing url

I have this snippet of code I want to put in wordpress using [vb] [/vb]
Public Function getQuote(Symbol)

Dim uri As String
Dim XMLHttpRequest As Object

uri = “http://www.google.com/finance/info?client=ig&q=” & Symbol
Set XMLHttpRequest = getXMLHttpRequestObject()

XMLHttpRequest.Open “GET”, uri, False
XMLHttpRequest.Send
sHTML = XMLHttpRequest.responseText
getQuote = sHTML

End Function

But the uri line shows html encoded chars I don’t want:
uri = “http://www.google.com/finance/info?client=ig&;q=” & Symbol

What can I do ?
