• I want to remove parent categories from page permalinks. For example, instead of a page permalink being http://www.wordpress.org/parent_page/child_page. I want to make it http://www.wordpress.org/child_page.

This “how to” has been asked a few times with no direct answer. Also, I manage a website that have >100 pages so a plugin like “Custom Permalinks” won’t do me justice. Perhaps a plugin that would eliminate the parent in page permalinks automatically would be better.

Does anyone have a straight forward answer for removing parent categories from pages (not posts)?

    Thanks!

Yes, it has. I’m usually a very persistant “googler” and don’t post questions because I KNOW there is an answer out there. But this was an extremely rare case.

PLEASE, IF YOU HAVE A DIRECT ANSWER, PLEASE POST.

p.s. I ended up using the Custom Permalinks plugin and had to manually change the permalink for ~200 pages.
