Support » Fixing WordPress » Show Single Page if Custom Taxonomy Being Displayed Contains Only One Post

  • Hey everyone;
    I’m relatively new to WordPress, and am looking for some assistance.
    I’ve searched this forum already without finding the answer I’m looking for, so my apologies if this topic has been covered elsewhere.

    What I’m using:
    Wordpress 3.01
    Twenty Ten Theme with Speaky Child Theme

    What I want to accomplish:
    Some of the taxonomies I’m using in my blog (ex. Artist) have only been into my recording studio once, and hence, only have one post.

    Since I have pages that list the artists, genres, and albums that have been recorded here, it happens too often that my visitors have one too many clicks. I would like to set up my blog so that if you click on an artist that only has one blog post linking to it, that the link brings you directly to that post… instead of to the list of posts.

    Any insight you can provide will be much appreciated.

    Thanking you in advance

    Is there perhaps a way that I can modify the loop in order to accomodate for this behaviour?

    For the record, I’m open to alternate suggestions as well.
    Going to a list view of one record doesn’t make much sense to me though.
