It means something is not working with the JavaScript messages on your site.
oh…? What does THAT mean? I am kind of new to Javascript.

It means that the JS message with a key of empty_both is not available on the page.
There are a number of reasons why this could happen, I’d only be able to know if I could see it happen.
You can see it happen when you enter the wrong password on http://www.consolealliance.com/ any help would be appreciated

I can’t seem to recreate the issue. Were you able to resolve it?
I have the same problem and it’s only when someone tries to register. I get an “empty_both” error.

Any help would be appreciated.

It looks like something is not working correctly. What other plugins do you have installed?
I tried disabling all the plugins and it still didn’t work. I also installed it on a site that doesn’t have any added plugins or themes (http://templates.archetypecms.com) and this install just hangs on the “loading image”).
This is a networked/multi-site install so maybe that’s the problem – just didn’t see that was a conflict.

Can you try this fix and let me know if it works on the “templates” site?
Hi – I’m getting the empty_both message, probably due to a plugin clash which I’m going to try and resolve. My plugin is wp-symposium and I would like to support SimpleModal.
In order to let me do some digging around, could you explain the criteria for the empty_both message to be displayed?
Thanks and great job.
Hi, I just deactivated buddypress and the error was gone. What is the issue with Buddypress, any solution yet ?
Thanks
Hi Eric, tried your fix, but i do still receive the “empty both” error. registration worked though. all good. but the error message really irritates users ;( any idea?
