Panic: Activated plugin = site disappeared

    Hi All,
    Just installed the WPG2 plugin to integrate Gallery2 into WP.

    For some reason, activating the plugin has caused the entire site to dissapear in both IE and Firefox. Sadly, I am not too sure how to get it back!

    I’ve checked the plugin directory and the permissions on the plugin folder and files seemed to be OK (owned by Webserver). I don’t have PHPMyAdmin installed at the moment so I don’t even know how to remove the plugin from the data layer.

    I would really appreciate assistance from someone to fix this problem.

    Delete the plugin with your ftp client.

    Did you try http://<yourdomain>/wp-admin ?

    Thanks Podz, I didn’t think to remove the plugin itself. I simply renamed it and was able to get back to my site.

    Thinking out loud here, why did the site disappear in the first place? Has anyone else had this problem with the Gallery2 plugin?

    “Disappear” is not a descriptor which lends itself to an easy answer as to why the plugin did not work. It could have been any number of things, starting with an error in the uploading of the plugin itself.

    Upload a fresh copy of the plugin and try again.
