• Now, im trying to post a photo/picture whith all my posts. Its a good idea to collct them, it means to make a special page for that pictures of the posts – gallery. I tried photopress – lots of errors pops when trying to upload the photo, and it looks terrible in my theme. So, those who know a good gallery plugin – please write down one here. Thanks.

the G2 plugin by Ozgreg is awesome. Get G2 here. Forums, help etc. about G2

The G2 Plugin does work great. This thread prompted me to set it up (Mac.Genealogy.org), and one thing I learned, and read in several places, is that you really need to pay attention to the URL Rewrites (if your storing everything outside of the wp directory)

Full explanation is here: wpg2.ozgreg.com – URL Rewrites with a tool that will help you out.

I’ve been using WPG2 for a while now and am quite happy. One thing is that most users use one of the custom Gallery2 themes to better integrate with their WordPress.
    See my embedded gallery here
    http://www.archshrk.com/wp-gallery2.php

The only feature I’d like out of WPG2 (and apparently it has to be done in Gallery2 itself) is to have something like FlickR’s photo stream so you can show X number of recent photo’s in your sidebar. I started digging around in gallery2 for that the other day but got distracted.

If you have a Flickr account you can use flickrRSS to create a custom badge and list up to the 10 most recent photos added to Flickr. And it’ll link them to the photo’s appropriate flickr page.

Or a plugin that I’m still working on is also a flickr related plugin. It’s where you store the photos on Flickr but create a viewable gallery on your own website. It comes with customizable pages templates and template tags. Not to mention a badge option which’ll show your most recent photos and link them to your gallery. While I’m looking to release it in the next week or so, you can check out my photo gallery for a working example.

BTW – Gallery2 now supports multiple images in the sidebar.

jaseone … i noticed your post about the feature you want out off GALLERY2 .. “pulling out images” … this can be done very easily … you can pull out as many as you want ..

if you want to learn more, i have several sites i can allow you to look a that gallery2 implemented and i use the “random” code for my sidebars …

i believe the code is ..

    “<“?php print g2_sidebargridblock(‘randomImage’, 6, 75, ‘ ‘); ?”>”

obviously delete the ” ” marks … and change the 6 to the number of images you want displayed … and 75 is your pixel size …. increase or decrease for your desired size …

    Try Lazy-K-Gallery. I use it http://www.benrichards.co.uk
