   I'm trying to figure out if WordPress will do what I need for a site. I really like the bbpress forum environment, but I'm wondering if one of the subscribe-to-comment modules works with the bbpress as well as the main wordpress environment.

   At the bottom of each thread, there is a "RSS feed for this thread" link. is that what you're looking for?

   nope - I'm looking for email functionality from the subscribe2 module - wondering if it works for bbpress as well as Wordpress

   Not that I know of. You'll have to contact the bbPress developer list: http://lists.bbpress.org/mailman/listinfo/bbdev

   bbPress is not supported here.

   You can always use a third-party service like Bloglet to convert an RSS feed into an email blast.
