  • This works for me: wp-content/uploads/imagerotator.swf

Did you upload the zip file or just the swf file?

Saw that once in another post.

I downloaded the entire zip file and put it in a directory called imgerotator in the uploads directory

So based on the comment earlier…

    wp-content/uploads/imagerotator/imagerotator.swf

Should work but i just tried it and it does not work.

    Very odd…

So you uploaded the zip file?

You have to unzip the zip file and upload just the imagerotator.swf, found inside when you unzip it, file in your uploads directory.

Thanks Paul, of course I did that. There are 8 files in the directory including 3 jpgs 1 html 1 pdf 1 swf 1xml and 1 .js file.

I can not imagine why this is not working. I have tried this on two different WP Sites of mine. works fine until I tell it to use flash then the box pops up saying

The path to imagerotator.swf is not defined, the slideshow will not work.
If you would like to use the JW Image Rotatator, please download the player here and upload it to your Upload folder (Default is wp-content/uploads).

I don’t want to put it in the uploads directory since I have lots of other uploads there, maybe it is a persmission thing in the subdirectory… I will investigate…

changed permissions on the subdirectory where i put the files to 777, but still no luck…. this is strange

Sorry, I had to check. 🙂

Saw a post awhile back saying something about how you need to hit the ‘Search Now’ button to get it to work (manually inserting link didn’t for whatever reason) and come to think of it that’s exactly what I did. I have mine located 2 subfolders deep in the uploads directory.

OK I give up… put it in the upload directory and it works.
No idea why it didn’t like being in a subdirectory under uploads.
