• I am using a next gent gallery to display about 1500 oriental rugs.
    I am trying to figure out a way to have a visitor be able to search the tag information where I placed a rugs dimensions but have had no luck getting this to work.
    The rugs are all different sizes so I was hoping that I could get the search to return the available rugs in any size given the length and width dimensions
    ex: width=10′
    length=13′
    any rugs in the next gen gallery having these dimensions would return.

    Unfortunately the search results I am getting are only for the last dimension I select. Even though I selected width and length dimensions the returns I get are only for the length dimensions- in this case any rug with a length of 13′
    I am trying to figure out how to get the search to pull off of both dimensions and having no luck.
    Would appreciate any and all help on this

    Thanks in advance

  • IMO it might be easier for you to use a tagcloud and let people choose the dimension from the list. I tag my digital art and let people pull images by tag for the same reason…you can see here: http://angelhartline.com/blog/galleries/browse-galleries-by-tag/

    Searching would work as well but it seems to me people would be likely to enter sizes that don’t exist in the list and get frustrated if they get no results several times…of course that assumption may just be due to the fact that I don’t know your business 🙂

    HTH!
