• Hey,

I had a website for some time and now it has been fun and I want to move on and use my server space for something else. But I’d like to save my old website, with all the image and video links, and the comments and stuff…

Now, what would be the most elegant way to make a local copy of a WordPress site for later reference?

    Thnx for any help!

  • You could look at installing WP locally and importing your old content into your local install.

If you just want to archive the content (but not actually view it), all you really need to save is a copy of your database.

    ok, that sounds good.
Maybe I was just hopeing I could save it with Safari as a webarchive or so. Or maybe as a static pdf I could just flip through if I want.

But a local install might do the trick as well.
    Thnx!
