• My site looks like it has been down for the better part of today. I have contacted my hosting company who says my site is actually up but I have a “google white page of doom.” I have no idea what it is or how I can fix this but I am desperate.

I have so much work to do but I can’t log on to my site. Can anyone help me with this? My site is: accidentalsexiness.com

    thank you so much

  • I can see your site fine – I’d suggest clearing your cache to begin with.

I can access your site without any problem.

Thank you for your responses. For some reason its back up now, it had been down all day though. I will clear out my cache, thank you all!

You might also want to ask your host to explain what a “Google white page of doom” is supposed to be. That’s a new one on me!

I keep getting that stupid error and I have no idea why. It goes down temporarily gives me this:

    This webpage is not available.

The webpage at http://www.accidentalsexiness.com/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

    Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): Unknown error.

then comes back up.(currently its up) My hosting company says my site is up but its google and gave me this link.
    http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy&hl=en&q=wordpress+white+page+of+death
I do happen to have that Google Apps with the site and I wonder if that is the problem.

I’m so frustrated at the down time and no one seems to be able to help. So whatever anyone can help with I’d appreciate it.

    THANK YOU!

LOL, it should have been Google: White page of death no wonder we got confused.

Intermittent errors are the hardest to track down, but search the error logs next time it happens and see if anything shows up. the tip of deactivating plugins etc is good, but won’t actually help you that much as you would have to leave them deactivated for a long period of time to ensure they weren’t the issue.

So for now just check the error logs, unless of course you can do away with all plugins for the time being?

Sorry, but I don’t really know the difference! Where would I find such error logs? I have thought about deactivating plugins as this has to be the culprit. But exactly as you say, I’d have to leave them off long enough to sort out the problematic one.

I think the problem lies in updates. I think I should stop updating to latest versions of things when everything is just working fine.

Thank you so much for your help. If you can tell me where error logs are maybe this can help.

if you have access to cpanel or similar hosting options then there should be a link from there.
