• I use the Thesis theme, which has a nice little 301 redirect option built in. So basically for an affiliate link, I’ll make a new page called “affiliate link”, enter the URL i want it to 301 redirect to, and Thesis handles everything. When I installed W3, if I leave Page Cache enabled my 301 redirects stop working. Instead of getting to the destination URL, they will end up at my “affiliate link” page – but there’s nothing there.

    Help?

W3TC is doing what it should caching the pages, which means that WordPress doesn’t handle the request. You can add the pages you’re redirecting to “never cache the following pages” so that WordPress will always process them.

Ok, seems to be working for the most part. Firefox, IE, and Safari all seem to work, but Chrome is not. Is that a known issue?

    Thanks!

On second thought, it looks like the caching has caught up now and isn’t working on IE or Chrome, but firefox seems okay.

When I put the pages in as exceptions, how am I supposed to format it? This is how I was doing it:

Not sure if I’m just supposed to put /groupon/ or what.

    Thanks.

Some browsers cache 301 redirects. Empty your browser cache. Exceptions should simply be entered is /groupon/.
