@dominick41, Can you please elaborate on this. How would not being able to disable a plugin destroy your data base? W3 Total Cache has been downloaded 128,142 times and is one of the most popular and best supported plugins on WP.org. Please provide details so this can be explored further.
We don’t know, if we new this, we would still up and running……..I know that nobody meant for this to happen, but when we tried to uninstall this plug in then we lost our Data base. And because a bad host we could not get the time to get or the data transfer allotment to fix it.
This still has my head spinning. 140 web site gone in a second
Really this may be a blessing, I wish I could tell you though……I just can’t help you on this one……….I am sure you built the plug right. but something did not jive, It left two files called db.php, and cache.php…….by the time we figured that out it was to late, we had done other things that did worse damage.

I am not the one who built the plugin I just have a lot experience using it. Also I responded before I saw this thread which explained your problem in more detail.
I was very happy to see so many people provide suggestions and like you said this may be a blessing. I wish you the best getting everything straightened out.

Just as a side note, always back up your database when making drastic changes (e.g vital upgrades to the build and any plugins)
Well we did at the at the host, but the host was the problem # 2
WE WILL BACK IT UP AT HOME FOR NOW ON!
How do you know the host didn’t wipe your DB? Just a suggestion — it does seem odd that a caching system would wipe out a database.
