    Hi!

    I would like to report a very interesting bug

    If you change the Site URL and then change it to the permalinks like date/title, you get 500 server error

    But if you first change the permalinks and then change the Site URL, everything works fine

    I think anyone changing the site URL should be setting permalinks to default prior to switching the URL, then setting the custom structure back once the URL has been changed.

    Permalinks are not re-generated when the site URL is changed (i think), so i’d naturally expect the “still old” permalinks to now fail when the URL of the site changes.

    I’ve also noted the codex entry for changing the site URL does not mention this.
