Embed Powerpoint files as presentations – plugin/hack?

    I have a large number of Powerpoint files (hundreds) in a number of blogs and would like to be able to have them automatically display in a flash/javascript viewer in pages and posts, a bit like a media player plugin but for .ppt files.

    Re-uploading them all to Slideshare probably isn’t an option for my users due to the quantity.

    Does anything exist that will do the job of something like Slideshare but built into WordPress? (And if not, why not? :))
