Support » Requests and Feedback » Error when posting a cut and pasted e-mail

  • Hi,

When I post an e-mail to my blog using dummy text, it works fine.
But when I sent an e-mail that contained cut and pasted elements (even though I erased all the “smart quotes”, etc. I check my wp-mail.php and get these error messages:

WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax near ‘[piece of cut and pasted content]’, ‘test’, ”, ‘2’, ‘publish’, ‘test-3’, ‘open’, ‘open’, ‘0’)

WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax near ” at line 4]
    SELECT category_id FROM wp_post2cat WHERE post_id =

WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax near ‘ 2)’ at line 3]
    INSERT INTO wp_post2cat (post_id, category_id) VALUES (, 2)

WordPress database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax near ” at line 1]
SELECT pinged FROM wp_posts WHERE ID =

I read in another post (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/5003) of a similar problem, but it was never resolved.
