    First post here and I hope someone can help me out. I am also not sure if this possible.

    On my sidebar I have a section that lists what I am reading and games I am playing. I would like to have the pictures of said media link to the items to amazon via my affilate link. The problem is when I do that the image disappears (with the exception of a verticle dash in its place) but the link works. If there is a way to get this to work please let me know.

    Here is the code I changed to include the image:

    ADDED CODE<img name="the_game" src="/the_game.jpg" width="105" height="160">END ADDED CODE<img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=stephanjohnkr-20&l=ur2&o=1" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />

    Here is the original code from amazon:

    the Game<img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=stephanjohnkr-20&l=ur2&o=1" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />

    Well that is not good let me try that again.
    Also, what I did was take the text link that amazon gives you and replaced it with my image link. The text I removed from the original link is "the game"

    The code I changed to include image:
    href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect?link_code=ur2&amp;camp=1789&amp;tag=stephanjohnkr-20&amp;creative=9325&amp;path=tg/detail/-/0060554738/qid=1126672910/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1?v=glance&s=books&n=507846"><img name="the_game" src="/images/the_game.jpg" width="105" height="160"><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=stephanjohnkr-20&amp;l=ur2&amp;o=1" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />

    Original Code:
    the Game<img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=stephanjohnkr-20&amp;l=ur2&amp;o=1" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />
    href="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect?link_code=ur2&camp=1789&tag=stephanjohnkr-20&creative=9325&path=tg/detail/-/0060554738/qid=1126672910/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1?v=glance&s=books&n=507846">the Game<img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=stephanjohnkr-20&l=ur2&o=1" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />

    If you put your code in "backticks", it will be legible.

    On UK keyboards, that's to the left of 1 on the top row. Offhand, I don't know where it lives on other nationality keyboads...

    Either that, or copy you code to http://pastebin.com/ and post the link back here. Someone should be able to help then.

    I don't think I need to start a new thread for this, so I hope this is ok to borrow the thread. I couldn't find this answer on the board myself.

    I am also trying to use images from Amazon. I'm using the wp-amazon plugin, but I was having this problem even before I started using the plugin (which involved logging into my Amazon Associates account and creating the link myself). If you go to my page, you'll see what I'm talking about (http://www.jayzilla.com/index.php/books/). The last thing on the page is supposed to be showing an image of the book, but instead the link is getting interpreted and written incorrectly. If you look at the source, you'll see what's going on. The image link 1590524020.01._SCMZZZZZZZ_.jpg is being converted to 1590524020.01.%3Cem%3E%3Cspan%20class=" caps="">SCMZZZZZZZ.jpg (I hope that shows up the way I typed it). I think WP is getting confused with the underscore before the image.

    In researching this on the board, I found a WP blog and saw that their images are being linked the same way mine are, except theirs are showing up. I tried contacting the owner but I haven't gotten a response yet.

    So my bottom-line question is how do I get the images to show up right without copying them to my server? Thanks for any help you can offer.

    Maybe they have hotlink protection. I mean they didnt allow that image linked from another domain.

    I agree, hotlink protection. Thier reasoning is why should they pay for your bandwidth.
