  • Sure you have read this http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Feeds

You have the php in your template right? for the RSS feed?

As it is. I can only see 1 entry by doing http://sharonadesign.com/blog/feed/rdf/

Your website is very nice, I might add.

Ok I think I need WordPress for dummies? 🙁
I´ve tried and then my footer disappeared and the sidebar. Really I dont know what Im doing wrong. I try to follow all steps and still nothing. Maybe I´ve spent too much time trying to fix it that I dont see clear anymore.
And when I go to: http://sharonadesign.com/blog/feed/rdf/ I only see one link to my blog.

    Sharon,

    I went to:

    http://feedvalidator.org/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fsharonadesign.com%2Fblog%2Ffeed%2F

    and the result is below

    This feed does not validate.
    *
Server returned HTTP Error 302: The HTTP server returned a redirect error that would lead to an infinite loop. The last 30x error message was: Moved Temporarily [help]
    *
line 1, column 0: XML parsing error: <unknown>:1:0: no element found [help]
In addition, interoperability with the widest range of feed readers could be improved by implementing the following recommendation
    *
Feeds should not be served with the “text/html” media type [help]

    1.

What you should do to see what is causing the break is to start by disabling all plugins and slowly turning them back on one by one. Something is breaking it. Also make sure all your code tags are closed as that can break the WP code as well.

Done, I deactivated and deleted the one that was giving the error. Now it says valid but… still nothing. I´ve also checked all code tags, didnt see anything wrong.
Thanks for trying to help me 🙂

    Haven’t given up yet : P

Are you running a custom template, I mean 100% you made or are you using something as a base?

    If so which one?

    Thanks

    Thread Starter sharonadesign

    (@sharonadesign)

    Its a 100% custom template :/

you have the wp-rss2.php wp-rss.php, etc all in your directory with your install?

    Have you seen this Guide

Did you keep the standard wp functions.php from the includes folder?

Also change your subject to “custom template feeds not working”
No one will come in here with feedburner as teh title : P

    : P

I cant find where to change the subject…
And about my template, I just designed, its the first time I have a blog and I have no idea of how wordpress really works yet, Ive looked through the editor and I dont have any wp-rss2, wp.rss.php files.
    :/

the php files should be in your main wp directory. They came with the WordPress install. If they are not there just re download them. Can you do me a favor : P install a free theme and then test your RSS feed.

That will tell us a lot more.

    (@sharonadesign)

Haha I know, thanks a lot, really!
I tried with two different, Azul and Corporate theme.

Change back your permanent link settings to the default. Then post back and let me look at your site : P If that is possible.
