Support » Fixing WordPress » embed iFrame not working on WP 3.0.1?

  • Hi,

It seems like ’embed iFrame’ is not working correctly on WP 3.0.1?

It displays the remote web page in a frame but the frame itself is at a fixed size even though I indicated a certain height and width!?

Or could it be because of the theme (Atahualpa)?

    Thanks,

    Jerome

    Hello … no one??

I’d really need to embed a page in my WP installation :/

    Thanks.

Wow, is it possible no one has the answer to this one? I just posted 2 entries on the same pbm and still no answer. I see yours is from 4 months ago. I’m going crazy trying to find the answer to this on the web!

Yes, I have the same problem when using new embedded video code (using iframe) with Youtube.

The code will disappear if you switch to the Visual tab, but if you stay in the HTML tab that’s OK.

Having the same problem with embedding iframe style videos on my site. The only thing that’s been working is paste things in the post in HTML view and just leaving it there. That’s actually asking a lot from a guy who’s still getting used to using other HTML tags.

Is there really not a cleaner, simpler way?

Same problem. The code disappears when I switch from HTML tab to Visual tab. Staying in HTML tab and clicking “Post” or “Update” is also hit and miss. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t and the video is not embedded and when I look in HTML tag, the code has disappeared.

Running Windows Vista and IE 8.0.6 something.

    What going on?!

Finally I found a solution. I’ve just installed “TSL iframe unfilter” plugin. You can download it at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tsl-iframe-unfilter/

I’ve found a plugin that does the trick for me too, as far as embedding video and such. IFRAME embed for YouTube: http://www.clickonf5.org/iframe-embed-for-youtube

Pretty simple and nothing really in the way of coding, unless you want to find a way to get rid of the little trademark thing they use beneath embedded videos.

Actually, nevermind the youtube plugin, that “TSL iframe unfilter” is just the trick.
