    Hi all,

OK, so I’ve got my search button working on my custom-made theme, now I need some help on figuring out how to customize the look of the search results page-ie is this the searchpage.php file?

    Please forgive my noobness!

Any help would be much appreciated..

  • You can start by looking into the source code of search.php in twentyten WordPress theme. That’s the core code, you can add customization on top of that of course.

I have added the search.php to my theme. When i do a search on my site, there are no results, and the text displays outside of my divs..

Can someone be more specific with regards to what changes I have to make to the search.php file in order to customize for my theme?

If you know about the wordpress loop. search results will be shown with the loop in your search.php file . You can customize it whatever way you want.
