Is there a hack that will display a random image to verify a person is a person (not a spambot) like you see all over the internet anymore? I’d rather use that then a blacklist which could slow down the site and create large lists of ips.

I searched, its just hard to find keywords for that. If it works for yahoo and them tho, why not wordpress?

‘Cause images are not machine readable, and it is good to have webpages that are accessible by machines that are not just bots, but you know, machines that help, for example, visually impaired people. Site-design with accesibility in mind is good, as it help classify information automatically for one…that’s why they recommend giving every image an “alt” too…

Plus alt is mandatory for validation.
