Next Page Link / Navigation

Hello

How do you setup the cut-off point before the “next page” navigation link appear? <?php posts_nav_link();?>

Meaning, I only want 5 posts per page before the navigation links appear.

Also, how do you set the maximum limit to how many pages the navigation (next page) links can through. Meaning, after 7 pages, there’s no “next page” link after that.

I’m assuming the additional pages are generated automatically after I surpassed the 5 posts limit that I would like to set per page?
