    It has taken 4 weeks, but I’ve discovered my bug submission is not a bug after all. Just a lack of documentation.

    Anyway I can update my own ticket, or shall I just leave it to fester and let some other schmuck figure out I’m wrong?

    Update it to mention that that the issue was not a bug. It wouldn’t be fair to waste peoples time by leaving it there as it is.

    Close your ticket with a resolution of “invalid” and just add a comment to say that you discovered it wasn’t a bug.

    Or if you like drop the ticket number in here and someone else will close it.

    My problem (with trac) was that it is not blatantly obvious that I wasn’t logged in. Once I logged in, and saw all the extra bits below the fold, it was quite obvious how to close the ticket.
