I have made many attempts to install this using the instructions provided and cannot get this plugin to activate. I get no errors, it just will not activate. I used older versions just fine. Looking at the manual instructions I cannot figure out how to install this either.

“Or you can unzip and FTP upload the plugin to your plugins directory (wp-content/plugins/). In either case, when done wp-content/plugins/w3-total-cache/ should exist.”

This doesn’t help much.

To add to this issue. I tried installing this on a different domain on the same server. Same issue, I cannot get the plugin to activate. No errors on install, no error on trying to activate. It just won’t activate. I used version 0.8.5.2 for a while and no issues whatsoever.

I did a manual install and same thing. I cannot activate this.

I get no errors, I just cannot activate the plugin. I did actually get this installed on another domain on the same server so it’s not sever specific. It may be another plugin conflict. I’ll send you an email.

I got this installed after deactivating a 5 star review plugin.

Did you contact the author about the issue? What plugin is that specifically? Some have options to improve compatibility with caching.
