Support » Fixing WordPress » About bp_template_pack – pages don't load! Help!

  • Hi guys!

Thus far you have helped me a lot and I’m kind of hoping for another helping hand!
Tried to find my problem in the forum, but with no luck!

The thing is that I added buddypress function to my theme using bp-template-pack plugin and visually it worked fine! Now there is a menu bar on the top of my page and the links in the menu are correct as well, but when I try to use them (try to access the page), any of them, it quickly is redirected to http://4sql.net/notify/1.php! Basically it’s an error! What gives? Any ideas why is that and how do I change it?

While I’m on the subject – do you know how the plugin works? Where is the code? Where is its CSS located? When I look at the source the BP code is there, but in the theme’s index.php I can’t find a line that would generate this code!

    Hope you can help!

    TNX

I tried looking in the BuddyPress Codex, but didn’t find the answer! Further more – I just found out that the same thing happens with all my posts too! When you select the post the page doesn’t display it! ????

The index page and the other pages, like contacts works fine – no problem, bu the post pages are not being displayed!

but when I try to use them (try to access the page), any of them, it quickly is redirected

    1. WP/BP versions? Sorry to ask, but you have BuddyPress installed and activated, right? BP Template Pack won’t work if BuddyPress is not activated.
    2. Change theme to bp-default theme and see if behavior persists.
    3. Keep bp-default theme and deactivate plugins, then add WP then BP plugins in batches and check if any interferes and redirects links. Would be good if you provided list of plugins you are using in that install.

Do you know how the plugin works? Where is the code? Where is its CSS located?

    – Yes, it’s a tool to help you integrate BP template files with your preferred/custom WP theme. It’s so much easier if you know HTML/CSS and some PHP at the least.
    – Code is within plugin
    – CSS for Template Pack is at bp.css which looks like this
    http://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/bp-template-pack/trunk/bp.css?rev=264493
You can copy all or some of above styles to your WP theme’s style.css and adjust to integrate with look of your theme.
