Missing new features after 3.1 installation

    After installing the german version of wp 3.0.1 some of the new features appear (menu, help …) but many do not (no events, no posts, no background image/colour etc.).

    I use a Studiopress theme. Does it has to do with that. After changing the theme (acte-+reactivating) the new widget look appeared.

    Do I have to reinstall everything?

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the TwentyTen theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
