   is there a plugin which will count the number of time a post is read and diplay the number at the end of the post?

   any ideas?

   Have you checked the plugin database?
   http://www.wp-plugins.net/ maybe under features, statistics...

   yes buddy, I have searched it. yet I hav'nt found anything which can accomplish this. still looking for help.
