   I have looked but not found exactly what I am after.

   Can anyone tell me if there is a means of showing x amount of full posts followed by x amount of titles. And just to ask as well - would it be possible to have x amount of full posts, followed, by x amount of excerpts followd by x amount of titles
   All on the front page ...

   Yes, it is possible. You'll need to read the Multiple Loops examples; or The_Loop_In_Action, to see what options are available to you.
