My Comments link had been active until just recently. Now it says Comments Off and I've checked the page where this is administered and everything looks okay - but it's not. How do I get commenting turned back on?

Well each post has an allow comments box, and it can be turned on and off individually. So I think that if the default was set to off, all posts made in that time would show that, and you would need to manually go through and recheck the box.

Posted 3 years ago #I too have experienced this -- immediately after my upgrade from 1.5 to 2.02... the default comment status in the database is 'open'. I did install Akismet -- maybe that's got something to do with it? I can reenable Pings and Comments manually on each post but that's a drag.

Posted 3 years ago #Ok I fixed my copy in the end just by changing the form that I used -- the advanced editing form was actually what I wanted in any case.
So it's something up with the basic form; no matter.
