Could there be embedded media or code in the post that is causing this issue? What if you purge the post of the current content temporarily and replace with simple text, does it display?
I have had odd issue with certain post/pages and plugins that required nothing more then just to re-open and publish again to fix.
I’ve tried edit the problematic post, wipe out all the content and upload a new image. The theme’s Fancybox still won’t work on that post.
I’ve also tried create a new post and then copy all the contents to it. The theme’s Fancybox works fine in that case. The only thing I did to the problematic post that I didn’t do on others is that I’d changed the permalink of that post a time. Does that related to the problem?

I am having the sort of the same problem, however none of my images are working in fancybox.
I have checked to be sure that the box is checked
Mystique Settings>Advanced>Enable theme built-in lightbox on all image links. Still nothing.
I unchecked it saved checked the images rechecked the box, and still it isn’t working.
I just launched this site (http://firststepweb.org) from the dev site and the fancybox worked fine there. I haven’t changed the style css. so this is the css:

I have also deactivated all plugins, uploaded new images, built a new page with a new image.
I am at a loss. If anyone could help that would be fantastic. I really liked the look of the built in fancybox and I’d hate to have to go with a plugin.
