   I know about this plugin:
   http://wp-plugins.net/plugin/trackpings.php/

   However, it brings down wordpress when activated (error code when I try to do anything, even just browse admin panel. Had to simply remove it from my directory without even deactivating)

   Is there an up to date plugin that works with 1.5.2 to separately count the comments and trackbacks?

   Chris Davis' separation anxiety is a good one. Also look at Mark Jaquith's ping/track count.

   That first one doesn't seem easy enough for me to implement. The second one is nice, but it makes it so only one post appears on my front page at a time.
