Posts Content from links / "share link" feature in Facebook

hi all,
is there a way/plugin/hack to create posts from links?

similar to the “share link” feature on Facebook.

for certain posts, I would like to paste a link/url and wordpress fetches some content from that link: title, thumbnal, short description.
