Can’t Create New Pages

    I’m having a problem creating new pages…it was working fine for a couple of days, now whenever I try to create a new page and go to “view page” or type in the URL I get a completely blank content area that only says this…”y, no posts matched your criteria.”

    The rest of the page shows up as it should, what is going on?

    Do the old pages still work? Did you change something in your page.php (if you have one…)

    The old pages do still work – I modified the permalinks an .htaccess since then…would that do it? Never edited pages.pgp

    It’s because of the permalinks and/or htaccess. If you have “nice” permalinks and your htaccess file is not writable in the moment of the creation of a new Page… it won’t display; you’ll get error.

    I do have “nice” permalinks – I updated the .htaccess CHMOD – still no luck.

    Any other ideas?

    I said: the .htaccess must be writable in the moment when you create a new Page. Not after…

    yes I know, I modified the CHMOD so it was writable readable and executeable by all and created another new page, same error.

    I’d try this:
    Back up your htaccess file and then delete it from the server and empty all the fields in the Permalinsk Options page. UPdate the options.
    Check whether you can see the Pages you created (I am quite positive they are there, you just can’t access them)
    Upload an empty htaccess file and re-create your permalink structure, and let WP write the rules into the htaccess file.
