test if the folder has right permissions.
    test if the folder exist!
many people have had problems. worked fine for me 🙂

Also check your upload path is correct.
You can download this small file (1K)
    http://www.tamba2.org.uk/downloads/absolutepath.zip
Unzip it, and using ftp, put it inside your images folder. Then go to it – http://www.yourblog.com/images/absolutepath.php – and it will display the path that you need to put into the Uploads page.
    HTH.

So I too am getting no love on the upload page. I have tried a number of different directories to put things in and nothing seems to get me away from the error page in the upload admin tab.
I used the script, which worked great, but still no luck.
I guess the best thing to do next would be to try to alter the chmod, which i can not seem to figure out. I’m using a Dreamweaver on a Mac, which seems to make all the information on the Wiki hard to adapt. Anyone have any suggestions?
    thanks

i used the absolutepath.php script and had to switch the script results from BACK SLASHES to FORWARD SLASHES… then it worked for me!!!

“Anonymous”: You DEFINITELY have to chmod the uploads directory. This is probably your problem. Mine wouldn’t work on anything less than chmod 777 permissions.

It was in fact the CHMOD. It took a while of wrestling with dreamweavers ftp program before i went out and found a differnt FTP program that did it.
    Works great now.
    Thanks guys.

My server’s version of the absolute path was comletely different than the one they noted. My image upload function finally works!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for that script, podz.
