WordPress email marketing?

I have tried researching this for a while by looking at what plugins are available. Currently is there a plugin that let’s you manage a mailing list within WordPress without using third-party, non Automattic, services?

I am interested in building email campaigns for registered users of the site, but want to limit the number of different things that people have to sign up and register for.
