NG 1.5.5: When I click on a single thumbnail picture in the post preview an error occurs: Rendering of template imagebrowser-caption.php failed.
Code in the post is [nggallery id=22 template=caption].
I have also installed the plugin shutter reloaded.

I should mention that without caption a gallery is working well. Please help!

Have had this problem for awhile and haven’t upgraded NextGen because of it – but just found an answer on another post.

Basically, create a file named imagebrowser-caption.php, copy the contents of imagebrowser.php to it and save. Then upload or ftp to the “view” folder in the nextGen plugin (…wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/view/imagebrowser-caption.php). If you have cpanel you can just create a new file, name it, copy the contents and save.

I just tried and it worked for me.

I’ve done so. But now there is another error: 404 not found.
    Hmmm?

I suppose the problem has sth. to do with my theme.
