• Greetings bipeds,

I’ve been looking through l o a d s of themes listed here in the fora for a simple and clear theme to use as a basis for a photoblog but can’t find what I’m after. All, even those described as simple, are full of extra sidebars and other stuff.

What I am after is a theme that has a header (where I can put a nice picture as masthead), a main frame (where I want to put a picture)and a footer (where I will have various links, including to a page where a more “ordinary” blog, i.e. not photoblog, will reside) and that’s it, nothing more. Any ideas?

I realise that I can change for instance the default theme in 1.5 which brings me to the second question: are there any easier ways of editing WP themes and templates? I’m opening them up in Dreamweaver but they only show code, which is very tricky to read (not really wysiwyg).

Is there anyway I can replicate my site on my computer so as to not have to ftp to check changes? And also, is there any way I can easily check changes to css files? Dreamweavers little window that pops up is not very helpful.

    Many thanks
    philip
