[Plugin: Redirection] Problems with redirect in domain remapped multisite

I am trying to use Redirection to avoid having to rely on copying images to my theme directories, as the directory name changes with the updated version. This worked (and works) well with the single site 2.9 install I am using. But as I try to accomplish the same thing on a multi-site 3.0 install, with domain mapping it seems not to be as successful for some reason.

The missing image which should generate a 404 error captured by Redirection, is not! I cannot find it in the 404 error log at least, but the image does not show.

I have tried adding another redirection, not related to the theme (i.e. not in the wp-content or other wp-directories). This redirect works fine and the redirection is loggged nicely.

I am therefore suspecting that it has something to do with the domain remapped multi-site, and the way WP is referring to the wp-content directory. Is those requests not captured by Redirection?

Anyone else with similar a problem? Please, advise.
