Support » Networking WordPress » Siteurl and home rows are getting altered in the DB

  • I have a strange and–disturbingly–reoccurring issue where my permalinks and administrative login will break due to the siteurl and home fields in the wp_options table being altered.

I’m running a multisite 3.0 install and Ron and Andrea’s multisite plugin, so I have multiple subdirectory networks on different subdomains.

The problem always is the same: if I’m on a subdomain like sub.domain.com, all permalinks and the admin login will suddenly point to domain.com/sub, obviously breaking in the process.

Manually changing the two fields in the db from domain.com/sub back to sub.domain.com resolves the issue, but it happens with seemingly no reason or warning, and has happend at least 3 times on about a dozen sites.

Also, twice it has changed to something totally crazy like http://or/g/sub which breaks the site entirely.

Does anyone have any clue what could be going on here?
