[Plugin: emObA – Email Obfuscator Advanced] Misses BuddyPress

    The plugin works well on blog posts themselves but does not obfuscate email messages that appear in BuddyPress updates created for those posts.

    So, a post is published that includes in the first couple of sentences “send a note to email@example.com” which generates an Update on the BP Activity stream saying “User made post .. excerpt”

    The email address in the original post is obfuscated, the one in the activity update is not.

    I don’t think this can fairly be called a bug. It’s a feature question. “Resolved” can be either “sorry we’re not going to work on processing BuddyPress filters” or “It’s something we’ll look at” <smile>. Thanks.

    I’m afraid I’m going to have to take the first choice: “sorry we’re not going to work on processing BuddyPress filters”. I have no idea if this is a difficult thing to solve; I’ll leave it to BuddyPress gurus to try. Give me a suitable solution, I’ll update the plugin. Thanks.
